@ Budget Jan: Thanks. What you said is really true, although sad as well.
@ Koen: I miss drinking triples with you. Keep warm there in very cold Belgium!
Lots of memories came back reading this well written piece…I surely took a trip down memory lane…it’s amazing how you can remember and describe all those flashbacks…it’s a God given talent and i must confess I envy you for it…Waterloo will always be connected with you…and that’s a very good thing…and (can you imagine)I was drinking a triple while reading…;-)…leaves are falling and soon winter will approach…tonight the clock can rest for one hour 🙂
Hi Aleah, It is true that without wars our lives today would be completely different. I love the mound and museum shot. Jan
@ Jenny: Seems to be a lot of us are deficient in our knowledge of European history 😉
@ Marisol: Thanks, thanks. It’s a really nice town. Small, yes, but very nice and peaceful. And of course, historic too 🙂
Wow, sounds like an interesting visit. You certainly made the most of you brief stay. The images are stunning. It’s far from what I imagined Waterloo would look ilke. I thought of it as something remote and mountain.
Well I never! Thanks for filling in some gaps for me on the history of Waterloo.
@ BertN: I am so glad I wasn’t the only one who didn’t know this! haha Sayang nga Kuya Bert. That place has a huge place in history.
I didn’t know Waterloo is in Belgium! I would have made an effort to go there when I was in the country. Sayang!
