Luxury Accommodations in Singapore

I love Singapore. I had visited it twice, and each time, I couldn’t wait to go back. It is green and progressive, and a lovely mix of Asian hospitality and Western efficiency.

I had the opportunity to stay in Orchard Parade Hotel during the Singapore Blog Awards weekend that I attended recently together with other international bloggers, and I really loved it. I think it’s one of the best value for money hotels in the city.

A bird’s eye view of the Marina Bay from the Singapore Flyer.

The Far East Hospitality Group to which Orchard Parade Hotel belongs also gave us bloggers a chance to see their other properties, and seeing each of them, with their own charms and quirkiness, made me realize that the Lion City has so much to offer its visitors in terms of accommodation alone.

What do you think of this see-through glass wall in the bathroom?

Although not as centrally located as Orchard Parade, Elizabeth Hotel is easily accessible as well, just a 7-minute walk to Orchard MRT station. It’s one of the oldest hotels in the cluster, but it has a charm of its own. The lobby was big and the staff were welcoming. The rooms also seemed more than adequate to meet the needs of any visitor to Singapore.

One quirky feature of this hotel is the clear glass wall of the showers looking out into the room. It would be a detail loved by honeymooners, but for friends rooming in together who have no plans of seeing each other in their birthday suit, there’s a blind for modesty and privacy.

QUINCY HOTEL

Singapore

Edgy decor in the lobby of Quincy Hotel.

If Elizabeth Hotel possesses a timeless elegance, Quincy would be its ultra-modern counterpart. It’s the first all-inclusive boutique hotel in Singapore; its designs and decors are edgy and its facilities geared for the chic and fashionable.

There are a lot of things to love about Quincy: its beautifully designed pool with a wonderful view overlooking the city, its sauna and fitness center, free ice cream and internet access even in the lobby, and the numerous details that make it a one-of-a-kind hotel.

Its location is very strategic too, only a 5-minute walk to Orchard Road. If I were given a chance to choose which hotel to stay in next time, I would definitely choose Quincy.

OASIA HOTEL

Singapore

A wonderful view from the 22nd floor of Oasia.

The warm colors of the rooms in Oasia.

Of all the Far East Hospitality properties I’d seen, however, my favorite is Oasia. It’s the newest hotel in the Far East family, and its Japanese-designed facilities easily make it one of the most charming hotels I’ve ever seen. The rooms  (and hallways!) were of soft, natural colors, making the rooms feel cozy and warm. The club lounge is a wonder too, with clear glass windows overlooking the city.

All the hotels in the Far East Group are priced reasonably. They’re perfect not only for business people who would love the strategic location and modern conveniences, but also for families who are looking for the best place to stay in Singapore. These are not exactly suited for solo budget travelers like me, but for those who can afford to spend something extra, staying in these hotels would be something to remember indeed.

Disclaimer: I have only visited these hotels and didn’t have an opportunity to see what it would be like to stay here. The information in this post are based on my visit. All opinions are my own and the  Far East Hospitality Group didn’t have any say on this review.
